Lake Travis

We've been out on Travis the last couple of weekends and it sure seems like there are a lot less boats out cruis'n around and even less boats in Devil's Cove? Lots of sail boats out but that may be because the wind has been blowing for the last month. Even Clay has slowed up--maybe his boat is still broke--hurry and get it fixed Bob!!!!!

I was out Sunday w/ MOBILEMERCMAN and yes, lake traffic has slowed tremendously. Made it nice to be able to run around the main basin near CNC without getting your azz beat up, though. :)

Anyone gonna be there July 18 - 20 for the CNC Poker Run ?

IN!

Clay Washington 06-12-2008 04:40 PM

Bob fixed my boat last week. I was in Devil's Cove on Saturday and Sunday.

Yes, boat traffic has been way down. I'm sure it's a combination of reasons. High gas prices, graduation ceremonies, vacations, high-winds lately, etc.

I will be at the ROT Biker Rally on Friday and Saturday, but I will be in Devil's Cove on Sunday afternoon.

It was great to meet up with you on the water and cruise around together. We had a fun and look forward to doin' it again.

Did get a unburned. That belly up drinkin' on the platform got me good.

We were talking about how dead the lake was this last weekend. Only a few boats out compared to years past.

B one 06-12-2008 11:02 PM

I will be there next weekend up from c.c.tex for poker run anybody going?

The drinkin wasn't the problem it was the sun burn on the front side. I'm usually head down workin.

Frank,
What marina do you have your boat at?
Jay

HTRDLNCN 07-01-2008 06:30 PM

Jay,
Rock Marina, its maybe a mile to the west and north of
Carlos and Charlies, .Small local spot owned by Jerry Sisemore, former lineman for the Eagles .
If you know Rick Smith its right by his place. I live right down the street.
My boat is currently out of commision, 454 blew up, having a 502 built,
currently Im big pimpin a 17ft Mako with a massive 115 Johnson.
:)

Frank,
We are friends with Noni and Tony on your dock. We have the Baja 30 OL.
Jay

HTRDLNCN 07-01-2008 10:12 PM

Jay,
we have met there havent we?
You were just hanging out at one of the slips one day on your boat with them?
The Mako was actually broken into there this last week, they took the battery, siphoned out the gas, left me with no gas cap and then proceeded to steal one of the jet skis across from my slip . Saw the ski is back so I guess whoever took it dumped it and the police recovered it. Im thinking they used the battery to hotwire it , its probably sitting at the bottom of the lake by now. At least they didnt take the Mako!
Do you know Rick?
Frank

Don't know Rick. I see your going to be out there tomorrow night--see you then.
