Whaaaaaaaat???? you don't like the arrows? The paint job is in really good shape. I'm leaving it, but if I did change it, it would look like this, only in red to match the dash with some white arrows.
Hey have u ever thought about how he gets that dinky out of there ??!:D |

I was going to restore the top deck, which would have involved new white gelcoat, but it would not have looked any different. I talked to Froberg and he said the cracks around the fairing will come back so not really a priority now. If I have time I'm going to do a deep buffing/color restorer and replace those cover snaps as the salt water has taken a toll on them. I'll be real happy if I can just get it running.

Everything, LOL not sure that will ever happen. Always something with these old boats.
If I could sell these 454 blocks I could be in the water by May. I've got some progress pics on my thread in the apache section. |

Is anyone reading into this? 16k for a Firefox? Im thinking Colin is going to be the first one to build a big boat to match his small boat. Why else get such a big lift.
My cousin will use the lift for his Cafe Racer for the Cigarette will not stay in the water over night. Maybe everyone once in awhile we will put it on the lift. Yea we will be down to run the Cafe and Firefox in a couple weeks. Might take the Sea Ray out this Saturday. |
Well, is the Firefox home? Where are the pics?
I went and saw my mess yesterday. I cannot believe the dust. Everything looks good, fixing a couple whisky dings while it is there. Then its time for some sweatshirt boating. |
That dust is coming from Washington DC from throwing billions of dollars around and all we get is dust.

Looks awesome. I cant wait to see it out running around!
|
Sweet, I hope my apache will look half that good.
Gonna hold off on trying to get the boat in the water this summer. I could get it running, but that's about it. I'd like to put a little more time and money into the rigging and engines, maybe get some 500hp short blocks. Besides, were gonna need something to do next winter too:ernaehrung004: |

Old race pictures I had been meaning to scan forever. |
TXHawk, what is the resize website you forwarded to me awhile back? I have a pic to post and am having a hard time resizing.
|
http://www.microsoft.com/windowsxp/D...powertoys.mspx
Scroll down to Image Resizer. Download. Then you will be able to right click on a picture on your computer and choose resize. Really nice. I just saw your post of LP. You better be resizing the Talon pictures. An it better be in the water more than the Texoma Talons... bunch of trailer queens! |

This WAS a Texoma Talon. No trailer queen here!
|
Congrats.
So that was a texoma boat? Was in an inboard just a year or two ago? I think I've been in it. The previous owner said it was converted from a center console. |
This is an old race boat built in '87. It has had 4 pairs of O/Bs. It was based out of Cedar Mills.
|
Cool! You are going to be trouble in that.
|
I can't wait. The only problem is the weak link on O/Bs is the lower unit so really rough water is a no no. Down here should be fine.
|
BTW I have a creampuff Fountain for sale. CHEAP
