Headed back into Galveston after running the beach. Trying to make IMCO's live pushing 11,000lbs. Running about 50-55, the girls were still attempting to drink.

Sweet, we need to make some rough water video's this summer.

TexomaPowerboater 06-01-2009 10:06 AM

Nice speed numbers Johnny

Got my 502's dyno'd. Their almost ready to drop-in. Can't wait to be behind the throttles again.

I heard Little Mineral Marina is going to open up a small floating restaurant/bar. Also heard their going to offer breakfast. Should be fun.

105!!! Sure glad I upgraded. I would hate to get outrun by a Fountain for real...as opposed to the white 32 that always "claims" :Whatever: he has outrun me.

Check your PM for the low down on the Motion. I also blew an oil leak on the Warlock last time out. It is somewhere around the remote oil filter adapter where it plugs into the block on the port motor. That puts it in the back and to the outside and under the headers. i am going to pull the carb and some other things off this weekend to try to get to it. If the motor has to be pulled i may have to pull it over to leon.

A leak or a blown hose? Did it lose oil psi? Hope the engine doesnt have to come out. That is not allowed in May.

Slow leak. Oil pressure very slowly goes down over the course of a few minutes (5-6lbs in 10 minutes) Bilge fills up with a few quarts of oil. Only happens when engine turning.

He said it's on the back. Sounds like a loose fitting. Get back there with some wrenches and some teflon tape. :coolcowboy:

SCORE!!! It was a pin hole in bottom side of filter. Left no drip, only squirted under pressure.

TxHawk 06-07-2009 05:23 PM

Wow. That is lucky.

johnnyboatman 06-07-2009 09:11 PM

good deal

TxHawk 06-08-2009 07:27 AM

Anybody know who has the 42 Fountain with black hull sides? I passed it on the way home last night. Looked really cool going up 75. I assumed it was headed to Texoma.

Yesterday was a great day for go fasts. The lake was nice and choppy.

Its my Grandma...... :coolcowboy: just joking. I saw that boat awhile ago, nice looking

Stefin298 06-08-2009 12:12 PM

Was is black and green? Green up front and black in the rear?

TxHawk 06-08-2009 01:05 PM

No, solid black hullsides, white hull and white deck. White Faring.

Stefin298 06-09-2009 09:46 AM

Nevermind then. There is a new Fountain at Eagle Mnt that is green and black. A guy name Brian owns it.

Stefin298 06-09-2009 09:47 AM

By the way, I finally ordered a trailer for my boat. Any suggestion on where to go for a 1st road trip?

What is everyone doing for the 4th of July? We are thinking PK or Travis.

TxHawk 06-10-2009 08:45 AM

Going to be at Texoma for the 4th. Who is building your trailer? What doest that 298 weigh?

You should plan a coastal trip. Im trying to get another one tegether for late summer/fall.

I will be at Texoma. I don't have any plans to travel. Still paying for new engines.

Loadmater out of Port Clinton, OH. My buddy got one for his 33 chaparral, so I was able to see their quality and liked it; plus even with delivery charge, it is a $1000 less than anyone else in TX for a painted steel 3 axle / 3 brakes 15K cap 18K GVRW.

298= 8500 dry, i guess 10500 fully loaded. 142 gals gas, genset, water, gear ect.

The wife and I are planning a coastal trip in either late July or early Aug. Not sure yet. At 1st we thought of going to Destin/ Ft Walton, but then I added a rough cost and it was $2000 for truck diesel, boat fuel and some other items we need for the boat like GPS / Chartplotter and radio. That does not include food or entertainment. Now we are thinking either Corpus down to Padre or Galveston over to Lake Charles then back and crusie down towards Freeport.

Lets get something together. I would be down to have another boat or two.

Apple a day 06-10-2009 10:27 AM

Ex Hawk, how is the cabin coming along?

Hasnt changed much. V-berth is done, headliner is nearly done, bulkheads covered etc. Im not sure how much more I will get done this summer.

Hows your new ride? You coming to Texoma anytime soon?

Apple a day 06-10-2009 11:17 AM

It's alot of fun! Right now I have a prop hub slipping but have found the fix so when I get it back it will be on. Don't know about Texoma we are going to visit friends at Grand Lake end of this month looking forward to that.

Stefin298 06-10-2009 11:26 AM

Hawk - where did you launch from at Houston? I am looking for a place where I can keep the trk and trailer safe.

TxHawk 06-10-2009 11:40 AM

I launched under 146 in Kemah. I left the truck and trailer there over night. No issues... maybe I was lucky!

Stefin298 06-10-2009 03:39 PM

Thanks. I need somewhere I can keep the truck for 4-5 days. I am thinking of calling some of the marinas

TxHawk 06-10-2009 03:58 PM

I would not hesitate to leave it in Galveston at the Yacht basin. If you are running to lake charles, there is really nothing special about running Clear Lake to the IC to head up. You could launch in Galveston and head out of the ship channel across to the IC and be on your way.
