Ill be watching from shore just across the way.
Between the drunks and the po-po its a bit much for me.
Be careful with the po-po if you go, they are loaded for war,
they have combined forces and are setting up camp across the way with trailers, tents and a Judge up the street set up in temporary courthouse. They are saying they can process over 400 arrests a day with the setip they will have.

So long as you are rafted up and not going anywhere for the duration you will be fine,do what you want and no problems.
I just dont have the patience to be there that long on my boat,
if I had a nice big cruiser that would be another story.

It's going to be a crowd fiasco, -- but I'm committed to giving it a try. Heck, it's a one-time deal -- so might as well. I've got friends coming from Lubbock and NYC for this extravaganza. I haven't completely figured out all the logistics yet, but I'm thinking of dropping off passengers on-site on floats, then going up-lake a bit and mooring, then hitching a jetski ride -- float in-hand -- back to the venue. I'm not to keen on getting hemmed-in and stuck on one of the lines for the entire weekend.

Just saw this on the LCRA site. thought it might be important:

Boats to be inspected at Aquapalooza
Texas Parks and Wildlife Department officials will be inspecting boats entering Lake Travis for the July 9-10 Aquapalooza music festival looking for two invasive species that could damage the lake -- giant salvinia and zebra mussels. They can seriously harm lakes once they are introduced into the water. If either species is found, boaters can be turned away or fined. Click here to see a video about Aquapalooza and inspections for giant salvinia, and here to see one about zebra mussels.

I will be there. Don't plan on hooking up to the main mooring lines though, there is supposed to only be 2000 spots. I plan on anchoring off behind all of it so that I can make an exit when needed. We are planning on going out Saturday morning and not about to overnight it out there. Should be fun, talked to a sheriff's deputy the other day at my marina and he said they expect at least 5-10 deaths on Saturday with an expected 70000 people max attending.
