Yes Maybe we can all meet somewhere. Went up the river this summer about 2 or 4 times, Have not been in 2 or 3 years. Always run up to clear lake and redfish or turtle or topwater. Run to galveston is cool to hang and have lunch and drinks. Have done Lake Charles run about 4 times and it is alot of fun. Only there is no fuel after stingaree's to lake charles. They may have rebuilt some marinas after IKE but I not heard of any.

Just before Lake Charles, there is Nalmar Landing where you can fill up your boat. It is next door to Bridge Point Yacht Center. Google map it. I thought I was going to Contraband Days last year and I did not go. I called them last year and I think they only have Super Unleaded. Calling them is a must before we make that trip. I have no idea how big and full they keep their tanks. If we had a lot of boats, I could see us sucking their tank dry.

Shawn, Bow tie is where we got fuel when we got there on our last trip. Is a good place and easy in and out.

UrbanDisturbance, Good there is a place for fuel someone is running low. Rainbow bridge was perfect but went away.

There is a place about 9 miles from Rainbow Bridge/Neches river. It's about 3 miles up Cow Bayou and called Peggy's on the bayou. I live on the bayou about a mile from there so If y'all decided on a Lake Charles Trip I would like to hook and run.
Cheers,
LF

Also there are a few nice sand bars to hang at in that area so if anybody is bored with there home waters and wants to tow down and hang out for a weekend let me know.

Anybody been up the ship channel recently? I used to take people sight seeing and have been as far upstream as the 610 bridge. Can you still go up it?
