Getting tired of the long cold Colorado winters, and thinking about buying either some acreage out in East Tx, or a waterfront lot to build on in the east.. Cedar Creek, Palestine, Richland Chambers, Sam Rayburn, Toledo Bend.......... Any advise from those of you who actually live there and boat there? Water levels are a bit concerning, and from looking at water level history, it seems like Palestine only fluctuates about 2 feet over the last several years? Any other lakes that are affordable but boater friendly?
Has to be big enough for the 38 to run!
Thanks Jon

That bad boy needs to come to north Dallas so you can take me for a ride - lol I would think Texoma would be the lake for you and your boating requirements ! It's about a hour and a half from north Dallas - waterfront property I wouldn't know except for lewisville and that lake probably wouldn't work for you !!

I'll look you up when we come down! Any insight as to lakes that don't fluctuate as much as others?

Rwbrew3 05-24-2014 12:02 AM

Sure wish I had a answer for you, but most every lake or resavor in Texas fluctuate pretty good. I was on Texoma yesterday fishing and it is low but still bootable, it's huge! I'll do some research or you unless someone else chimes In with more knowledge on the subject. Texas weather is pretty crazy, hot/humid summers, strange cold winters with some snow and ice at times but we can boat almost all year, and lots of hunting and fishing- lol
