Sorry to hear about that. I hate the sound of major engine problems.

On the other hand, the wife and I had a great time Saturday meeting up with some of you. It was a real pleasure.

Troper, once again, thanks for organizing everything.

No worries, I'll tell ya a funny story! So hit the water Saturday morning, wind was strong and chop was rough, coming off the trailer my outdrives wouldn't come in or out. So got her docked and told my buddy to get the trailer back in the water, and we would troubleshoot this issue on the trailer. So go to maneuver back around to the trailer and starboard engine dies, guess be irritated about the drives, flustered with the wind, and also not 100 percent confident with that motor(that we just worked on this week) I managed to not notice the shifter wasn't completely in neutral position. So after hitting the bank, I said screw it and walked next door to papas to try and ease my frustrations and relieve my hangover...while sitting there the brain started functioning rather than just reacting and came up with a game plan of troubleshooting in attempts to save what was left of the day! After about an hour or so of troubleshooting I took the big kick to the ego and noticed the shifter position, about 30 min later found the bad ground that was not allowing my drives to function correctly with a huge thanks to Gary for taking the time to stop and play gopher with us in the engine compartment. Minutes later hit the water in a last ditch effort to catch everyone with no success, but we did get some boating hours in, then a complete meltdown by one of the girls that was with us. Let's just say that Sunday was a much better day on the lake!

Although it wasn't that perfect sunny day, it did turn out great! Great meeting you and the wife Brady. Glad I caught ya at the ramp to let ya know of the change in plans. After we got off the water, did some bar hopping with the gang and then made it back to the house (finally) to finish the evening.
Sunday was spent at the new Texmex place testing their Ritas while watching some football. Too bad the Boatpix chopper wasn't out on Saturday.

Anyone getting back out before the winter, or making the Miami run?

I might want to make this run. I read thru the other threads but I did not(or missed it) see ramp info or where everyone is meeting. Would 40' boat be welcome on LBJ, never been there.
