Anyone boat at pickwick ?
 

just curious if anyone on here will be boating at pickwick lake this year ? if so where do you stay in and out of the water ? I have going to pickwick for years just never really checked into the power boating scene . we would love to meet some people and chill at the waterfall or wherever else and run the lake .

There is a pretty good group of regular power boaters here at Pickwick. We are dropping our boat in for the first time this season on April 27th. I have a 29 Fountain. Others that hang with us have 30 Phantom, 38 Fountain, 27 Fountain, Bajas, several west coast boats. We hand in Dry Creeks. We had trouble with Alabama cops last year. We often buzz the falls. If you see us on the water stop by.

I recently picked up a 38' Scorpion from Pickwick lake. Its all red with a big wing/radar arch....all show and no go...LOL!!!

Does anyone remember seeing it? The previous owner had it on his personal dock since 2001. Has anyone seen this boat running? I'm betting it didn't go more than 50-55mph tops with the 454/TRS/BW combo. I'm looking for any info and history on it.

Beautiful lake, I wish it wasn't December when I visited. I would've liked to have seen more of the lake.
