Default Hunting HARD for a nice Sport Cuddy.... North Alabama

Hey Gents,

I've been looking for a while. I have a small, entry level budget, but have found a few boats that meet our criteria. They are either sold while in route to pick up (ol' dudes wouldn't take a deposite), or were junk after driving all over the southeast. My budget is 21k, but I've got cash.... and good tow rig.

Been looking HARD at:
Baja 232-252's:
Want Good Graphics, Captains Call, Any Motor option, clean, of course good hours.

Rinker 232 CB:
2001+, Swim platform, 5.7+ EFI, would like captains call.

Any other sport boat that looks cool on the water, sleeps two, and can seat 5-6ish +.
I'm ready to find "Our Boat".... 256-572-4784

I know this might be too much but I know this boat, it's like new. I have seen it at night and the leds are unreal, both top and underwater. It listed with trailer for 62,000 then he put another 6,000 in it and at 38,000 it's a steal. I know he wants to sell it.

That is bad ass... wayyy out of my range. If they put a 454 Mag or 502, I'd be in love. I'm not a volvo fan... I don't know anything about them.

No problem, but don't be scared of Volvo outdrive mated to the Chevy 350 it's a solid combination. Great holeshots.

I have a 2000 Velocity 280 with Mercrusier 454 HO Mag MPI with a Bravo performance dive that I would deliver for 29,750. It is still winterized and would make it turn key with all current maintenance. All fuel filters, all oils & filter , complete bravo water pump kit, new battery and so forth. I have not used it in a year because of very low lake levels plus the summertime is very busy for me. It is properly put to bed and is stored inside completely with the snap cover on it. I also will drain the fuel out and put new in even though I properly stabilized it and added small amount of 2 stroke oil to it to combat any corrosion issues. Also I did store with all fresh oils and filters but still would change them.

Dont make the mistake like 90% of us made on here. It will start out as a sports cuddy, but when you get going you will say "man this isnt really a sport boat" and take a huge loss/be stuck with a boat your not happy with.

If you have 21k cash you can get into a really nice boat in the 23 to 25 range. Guntersville/Tenn River/Smith Lake all in your area you will be wanting 25' LOA after a busy weekend. Nothing makes you more upset if you have to slow down to cross a wake board boat wake(while they are not towing).

BBC is what your gonna want in that size boat, a 350 will not cut it.

I will help you search.

Thank you all for searching for me.... I picked up a CLEAN 2005 Rinker 232. I drove 886 miles one way to Michigan... it was a great deal. It more than suits our needs. I don't currently have the "go-fast" bug. But I've got 50 out of her on medium chop. I'm sure she would do 53-54, which is just right, and easy on my wallet. I like the room I've got and the HUGE platform. It facilitates parting very well.... we will certainly test that out this weekend. Hey LooseConnection... I see that you've joined "Southernmotorboating.com"... Hope to tie up soon!
