Miami boat show!
 

Hey guy's I'm heading to Florida the end of February but was thinking of coming down earlier than the rest of my group for the show.
Is it worth the extra $$ to get down there for this show?

Also what other cool boat related stuff should I check out?

I was holding off, figured Jupiter would chime in. The show is definetly worth the trip. Anyone who is anyone is typically there and you can see everything plus some. The FPC run is that week as well, so maybe try and get in on that while you are here. Other then that your just a couple of hours from the Key's and all that it offers, make some road trips!

Best Boat show(and Parties) you will ever see, well worth the trip.

Without a doubt, the show, poker run and the keys, can't go wrong at all.Definitely need to make it down as soon as you can..

It look's like I can get down there the 15th, I'm driving down so definitely plan on taking some road trips, but wasn't planning on pulling along the boat :mad: Would love to check out some of the parties and if anybody has an extra spot or two on their would love to chip in for the FPC run! If not I'll try to rent something and at least be a spectator.

I see you have a Velocity so you should talk to Kenny or Carl? (salesguy) from Velocity, im sure they will both be at the show and perhaps can get you lined up for a spot on a Velocity for the run. Stop by the factory and take a tour on your way down.

The Hilton ft lauderdale is a great place to hang for a day. Also cant skip hot body contest at shooters/laplaya on sunday at 5!

Took 4 neighbors out a week ago. Went all the way to Hontoon docks. We were going further (it's now 3:oo) and one of us remembered the parked closes at 5:30 and the guy at the docks said it would take 2 hours to get back. Rather a quick trip back. Didn't like all the slow zones, but scenery was ok (the first time).
We'll need to hook up sometime. Oh, also got a ticket for one too few life jackets ($88). Officer said, we saw you coming down 17/92 and across the bridge. Think I was profiled??

Now thats funnyy!!! This time of year does suck on the river due to the manatees. Its in effect until March, really have to tow up to 44 if you want to run north.
Did you stop at Blue Springs and see the manatees?

Jacksonville is having a lunch run from the I-295 bridge. http://jaxperformanceboatclub.com/ We're staying at the La Quinta Inn off of Santa Rosa exit. $53/night. Suppose to be chilly now (62 degrees). Damn.
