Cooley's Landing boat ramp FTL
Does anyone use Cooley's Landing Marine at Sailboat Bend to launch their boat. By looking at them with google maps they look like a much better option then 15th st for larger boats. Can you park your trailer overnight? Its a long trek to the ocean from there but for a weekend of boating its not too bad. Hows the depth at low tide?
North Lake in Hollywood is nice but does not have adequate parking and is a pita the get to. http://maps.google.com/maps?q=Cooley...10934811586910 |
Parking not too great for a big boat, not sure about overnight, but I wouldnt do it, not the best neighborhood, if you do make sure you lock your truck, and take all valuables with you. It is not a bad ride down the river, plenty of sights, and when you get back its close to riverfront. You could also use Boynton, and run right out the inlet, or Delray with a short ride to Boca inlet, but the channel into Boynton is narrow, and somewhat shallow at low tide, Delray can be trickey at low tide also for a big boat. Then there is 14'th street in Pompano, which is fine, just sometimes hard to find a Parking spot on weekends. The few local race teams I know use Boynton.
