What happened to the West Coast Power Boat Club located in St Pete/Tampa area?? Looking for a good Poker run Club and their site is no longer in existance... Are there any good clubs in this area? Thanks!!

It's still around, albeit in a much more low-key capacity.

Thanks Cig Daze.... We get down to that area often and would like to know when the fun runs are scheduled... Always looking for good boating people..

Is anyone in the area planning to do the boat parade at Clearwater Beach this weekend, December 10. We will be there with some friends for the weekend and are planning on boating this weekend. Hammer

They have not done a run all year. Did they even have one last year?

Bought a home in Clearwater beach this summer and would enjoy getting involved. Shipping the Nor Tech down to Ron Potter as we speak

Not sure if they are doing it but there is the new years day fun run out of Sarasota coming up in honor of Joey gratton. I am amazed that we live/vacation in by far some of the most beautiful water and destinations but can't put more together.

I'm going on that one, it was great last year and will be even better this year.

tampa bay area re-organize maybe just fun runs
 

to bad the bay area can't re-organize a loose knit club, fun runs, meet up at some dockside resturants, a meeting point where we call all make a run to the outer islands on the weekends, there is nothing better then running with a pack of fellow boaters. no dues just a word of mouth members list to forward e mails and info. like, hey I am going to the pub for lunch, who wants to meet up or going to egmont on sat 10am meet up at clearwater pass. We do 3 to 4 florida power boat club runs a year and would just like to do some fun stuff in our own back yard also. we are so lucky to have some of the best boating in the country in the tampa bay area
