Greater Tampa Bay Offshore
 

In response to people wanting to create a "club" here in the area to do fun runs me and Dean AKA xtremeair have created this. We are on FB as Greater Tampa Bay Offshore. We will basically copy what Bob has done down Ft.Myers. Hope he doesnt mind but he has done it so well. As of now there are no dues etc.
Our first fun run will be held tentatively on Feb 18. We hope to generate some interest in the area.
We will schedule something for every three weeks or so. The main focus will be fun runs and raft ups and maybe some dinner meet ups on the water.
We are not trying to replace WCPBC, just do more events. We will work with those groups to increase boat counts and interaction. We live in an amazing area and its a shame we do not have any kind of real boating "club".

This is a Great opportunity to meet new friends and old friends and have a blast on the water doing what we love best... BOATING.. We are all blessed as Dave said, to be boating in what I think is the best place in all of Florida. We live in a Great area and these fun runs are a great way to meet up with old friends and create new ones. We are always open to suggestions amd just want to go boating and have some fun.

This sounds like an AWESOME idea!! It's always nice to meet fellow boaters and I'm sure we will all be surprised at how many boaters we have from the bay area. I will definitely try to make it on the 18th. :coolcowboy:

Is it just a one day event? Febuary sounds like a good time to get out of Maryland for a week or so. I will try hard to make my schedule work. I was thinking of heading down to Englewood on the 21st of Jan if anyone is going to be out than.

Just heads up but that is the week of the Miami boat show...

Yeah I know. It was a tough month to get an open date for all of us. The first run that we are puttin together will be more of an early shake down to try a few things. A meet and greet of sorts. Plans coming soon!
