Also, if cost is not an object, they have a bunch of High&Dry marinas all over the Tampa bay area. It's about an hour from Orlando to Tampa, and maybe another 20 minutes to St. Pete. You call ahead and the boat's in the water by time you get there; when you return they yank the boat for you and you clean and flush on a work rack and then head home. The extra time in travel would be negated by the time you save not having to phuck around with busy launch ramps and trailering.

I was thinking TOHo also, plus they got a bar there:lolhit:

Cig/ All,

I have some questions on the high and drys.

When I look at them I notice almost every boat has chips in the hull, some say that it just happens others say "they must have done that with the trailers". Right.

Has that happened with yours?

The other thing is that none of them have bunks for stepped hulls and don't allow you to change them, would that be a concern? I know in my manual, fountain states it should be loaded on the trailer so that the bunks go past the transom.

I've kept 3 boats at my high&dry marina for the last 12 years.

My second Baja developed a handful of chips over the course of my 3 years with it, but that was mainly because there were existing blisters and voids on the bottom from improper manufacturing.

My Cig doesn't have a single one.

The right marina with the right eqipment (properly padded and protected trucks and bunks) along with good drivers makes all the difference in the world.

You keep yours right by the Dali museum right?

Yes, East Lake Toho, its about 12k acres its a good spot and close. Grabby Bills @ the St. Cloud Marina (south side), Fish Camp on the (north side), Chisholm Park on the east side where people raft off around. Lake Toho in Downtown Kissimmee is a little bit bigger and closer if you put in on the south side. Also has a lock that goes to to south Fl on the Kissimmee River. Than the St. Johns River. Best to put in up at Astor and avoid all the no wake zones, go north to Lake George and on the left is Silver Glen. You will still end up going over to both coasts anyway.
