Sounds like we will have ours back in the water this weekend so we are a go as of now for 3!

myattitude 08-14-2014 08:03 AM

I have a extra disposable grill, I will bring it. Happy Thursday everyone, that's awesome debcod2 looking forward to seeing the toy.

Looks like we are getting a great group together with a nice day forecast on Sunday.
Looking forward to it!

I started having fuel delivery issues with the starboard motor... that means during the evenings and nights over the past 4 days I've replaced the hoses, the filter, the regulator and had a pump overnighted and I installed it night before last. Turns out its the fuel delivery board in the ECU has decided to become a liberal and not work. Anyone have a lead on a 575sci computer? And it looks like I'm side-lined this weekend, and I'm truly unhappy because I had the boat cleaned and ready for pictures...

Dang man, I've been there before myself. I would think you could send it off for repair but not sure. Throw up a post in the tech section or do some searches. Sorry we will won't see you.

myattitude 08-15-2014 02:32 PM

Call RIggs Marine In Eldorado Wis, He can usually get older parts when no one else can. I am not for certain he can help but its worth a try. W9092 Lincoln Rd, Eldorado, WI 54932
(920) 872-2728 ask for Mel Riggs.

gotstreetracin 08-15-2014 09:54 PM

Well we're in Florida this weekend so we're out, hopefully we will make it next time!

tomcei 08-16-2014 04:51 PM

Everything is ready! Just hope I can snag my favorite spot for burgers in the morning.
See you guys tomorrow at "Cocktail Cove" I'll be there at 12. We leave out at 1pm

Anoller 08-17-2014 12:25 AM

I found a 575sci computer from a gentleman in Jacksonville that was "new old stock" and unused. I had it sent to Tyler Crockett in MI to reflash with the proper program to run the motor, but unfortunately it won't be back until Thurs or Fri, which means I hope y'all have great time tomorrow (take pictures). (It's too bad that even the Baja is sidelined with the heads off...guess I need another boat) (if I can get THAT past the fiancee, I should write a book)

I hope everyone has a great time, and I'll see you all next month !! I'm looking forward to seeing pictures (perhaps an email list for Lanier fast-boats)

Thank you for the information. I'm going to pull the existing computer and send it for repairs. I want to keep a spare on hand... never know if something will happen similarly to the port motor in the future...

debcod2 08-17-2014 06:56 PM

Despite my running out of fuel issue and having to leave quick to go get our wives squared away with the storm that popped up, it was good to see everyone again and meet some new people as we'll.
Thank you Tom for being a gracious host and hope we can all get together again some time for another run.

tomcei 08-18-2014 07:12 AM

I had a good time for sure. Nice to meet others on the lake and ride around as a group. Pretty cool seeing other boats jumping in as we are stroking down the lake. We will do it again for sure. I will work on a few ideas to gather a few more to join us. I believe we snagged a few pics (phone pics)and will get them posted up.

myattitude 08-18-2014 09:27 AM

Great day, Even Better People. The riggs looked great. Looking forward to doing that again.

A few action shots! Sorry we missed a couple boats.

tomcei 08-18-2014 01:12 PM

I think u snuck in an extra...lol

papps 08-18-2014 08:39 PM

Great time running with the big boys, can't wait to join the group again. I had to head back home just before we got to the bridge heading south. Did anyone else notice that small helicopter following the lead group?

Out There 08-18-2014 09:27 PM

Papps, glad you could make it. The helicopter was Boat Pics. I have seen it around the lake quite a bit lately. They take your picture including your registration # and try to sell you pictures at a fairly high price, I understand.

Anoller 08-26-2014 03:34 PM

Ok everyone, September is almost on us, and after the holiday weekend, the year only has a few more go-fast weekends left until it's time to break out the pontoon for the slow-cruising Fall... (ha)

So, this is a bump to gauge interest on a mid-Sept weekend on Lanier. I've sorted my fuel issue and I'm ready to roll into the throttles again.

aquaforce 08-26-2014 04:45 PM

Thanks for posting the pics. We really missed out. I don't know if we will be back in the water this year or not but working on it. Looking forward to meeting more Atl boaters.

tomcei 08-27-2014 09:14 AM

We are discussing another get together soon. Once we get a few things ironed out I'll post it up

Glad to hear it. I was on the road yesterday for work, and saw some leaves changing color (which was depressing), and it made me really want to squeeze a bit more life out of this summer while we can.

twinscrews 11-29-2014 06:56 AM

Just wanted to see if any of you guys are checking in since the weather has goon south.

aquaforce 11-29-2014 01:58 PM

Yea. Can't believe we get another brutal winter. I like those southern winters where I can get on the boat most months throughout the winter. This one doesn't look too good for that.

myattitude 01-15-2015 10:38 PM

Anyone going to the boat show this weekend? I am thinking Sunday.

Went to the boat show Sunday. Not bad....You can tell the economy is picking up because Formula was there..

I purchased a 32 Fountain Fever after Labor Day, so I only had 2 months Makes me want to get mine ready for this season. Maybe end of March...

aquaforce 01-20-2015 05:37 PM

I missed this posting about the boat show but I did go Saturday. Formula sent out an email that they would be at the show so I decided to go. The show is still lacking as Mercury Marine was not there with power and a display. Only reps that others told me they saw around the show but I didn't see any of them. A lot of marine builders and power did not show and why not? It is a boat show for crying out loud and the major players are not there.......... terribly lame in my book.
I did post about the Atl show in general discussion and the Formula section to see if I might meet up with any area boaters.

The Birmingham show is usually much better and that is the one I have attended more than ours here.

Congrats on your 32, post some pics and I will look out for you this summer

myattitude 01-22-2015 05:38 PM

Congrats on the 32, I have heard those are fast hulls. Spring/summer is right around the corner. I went to the show Sunday not impressed at all. Oh well at least it got me thinking.

twinscrews 01-23-2015 05:20 PM

Boat trip to St Johns river and Cristal Springs on for May 28 thru June 1st. Make reservations at The Moorings @ Cristal Springs, ask for Jessica. Tell them you are with the Atlanta Boat Club for the discount. Rooms are $79.99 per night. We will be going up the St Johns river to lake George and to Cristal Clear water at Cristal Springs. Great place to take the whole family. Come join us, and make reservations as soon as possible rooms are going quickly. We will be joined by a boat club in the Jacksonville area, should be lots of boats and lots of fun.

Congrats on the new boat. Pics? And what are your plans for it? What kind of power do you have pushing the props?

spoiler 03-06-2015 07:16 AM

Great hearing from everyone!
Looks like I might pull my 32 Fountain out of Lazy Day's and bring it home. Needs cleaning up I am sure.
Might run mine at the end of the month. Your thoughts?
looking forward hanging out this summer.

myattitude 03-06-2015 08:11 AM

Mine is in the drive way, lol. I think new water pump and possibly new impellers this spring. Tomcei you want to help? Lol. Anyway spring right about the corner. Maybe we could meet up off the lake for drinks one day? Btw. Post some pics of your new boat?

jasonp 03-12-2015 08:06 PM

myattitude 03-15-2015 08:33 AM

Thinking of running it today, anyone else ran theirs yet?

aquaforce 03-15-2015 08:01 PM

No. I have the itch really bad but still have to go through the carbs and a few other maintenance items first. I am so ready.

tomcei 03-16-2015 06:23 PM

man I have the itch now for sure...Spring is here baby!! Gonna give her the rub down and dunk it in the next week.:cool-smiley-026:

I think we should start a new thread for "Spring Fling 2015" and take a roll call. maybe nice to plan a day running some boats and checking all the vitals and such..then grab a burger.
