Miami area and South Florida
Looks like I can "con" my wife into moving back to Florida. Looking in the Miami area and possibly north (60 mile radius) need info on Rack and Store Marina's and other storage places (slips with lifts etc..) for my 38KV Scarab. All info appreciated!

Contact Larry here and see if he can get you into the new drystack. It's sweet building.

Randy, come over to power boat nation.com (delete spaces between words)
Florida based site |
I'm a 48 year local to Ft Lauderdale. Let me know what you need info on, houses, racks, hospitality etc.

Thanks for all the replies! I will be looking into all of your replies....

Cam someone give me an idea of BALLPARK Rack-n-store dry stack prices?
First check I was told $850 per month..no trailer. Miami area marina. How about Fort Lauderdale? |
Randy, I have seen anywhere from $10-15 per foot
|
In Broward you have American Offshore Marina in Dania, Aqua Marine Hidden Harbor in Pompano, Boathouse(former Hideaway) in Pompano and Marina One in Deerfield that have rack storage inside
|
Well I called "Thunderbolt" up in FLL and the lady was less than kind/patient with me......let's call her rude. Anyway $730 plus tax, and I cannot....repeat CANNOT flush my own boat the policy is they need to do it???? I would rather do it myself then some forklift ape (no offense to all the fork lift drivers) do it. IS that common practice?
Luckily I looking at all this 6 months out....but want more options. $800 a month is not something I want to pursue. |

If you go 60 miles north storage is much cheaper. $350/month on the treasure coast is what I was quoted for a 30'. |

Have to convince the wife NORTH is better but I need to be by FLL airport or MIAM to commute to work. Anyone have other suggestions? Trailer storage, outside rack, inside rack, yearly lease......$800 bucks? FORGETABOUTIT! |
Anyone? Rates cheaper after the season for a one year lease?
|
Also check the port marina in Fort Lauderdale. 8 minute idle to the inlet
|
Move to St Pete. Great downtown , beautiful boating water , airport close and not all the Rat Race of the East Coast.

If you're willing to do trailer storage, there's Brand X performance in Ft Lauderdale. Theres also this storage place in west palm beach, they quoted me $11-12/ft per month I believe. http://www.floridaindoorstorage.com/ |
Grove Harbour, Grove Key, Haulover and Rickenbacker (Miami dry storage locations) all quoted me over $800/month for a 28' with no t-top. I think you'd have a hard time finding anything under $800/month in the Miami area, and that would be for outdoor storage too. Crandon Park Marina has trailer storage for under $250 a month, private flushing stations, security fence, plenty of ramps to launch from...only issue, about a 3-4 yr wait. I'm on year 2. Better off going north.
Best of luck. |

I was looking for the same thing. there are 3 far inland on the same water near FT Lauderdale with good prices but it’s a long slow haul to get out. I did not find any good prices until Boynton beach.
Gateway Marina Boat Storage was the best deal I found. Also lots of these places have a waitlist. |
If you want to go south to cutler bay try black point marina they are cheaper then $800
