Sartasota to Sanibel/Captiva

Question for my FMO and SW Florida friends:

How long does it take to run the intercostal from Sarasota to Captiva Island? Are there a lot of no wake / slow speed?

I am looking to make a trip from Sarasota to South Seas on Captiva next month and wanted to see if inshore was an option if the weather kicks up.

Did you make the run? I'm here in Sarasota and the weather has been excellent, 80-85
