30' with 300's water pressure question......

How much water pressure are you some of you seeing? I don't have low water pick ups just the stock deal in the lower. I am wondering what some of you are running your boats at?

What kind of speeds are you guys getting out your boat at what rpm?

I ran 100mph, 20psi water, 6200rpm with four people, 3/4 tanks, 90 degree air temp. at about 500 feet elevation.

Thanks for the replies, I might try and run the ocean this Saturday if the weather is decent. It is raining here in So.Cal right now. Hoping for 105 in the salt, then raise the motors a 1/16 or so more and pull 108. If not I will start throwing seats and people out of the boat until I get there. :D

I run 300's with a 28 Skater, my gauges are only registering 10-12 psi. I did move the motors back and up this year, still experiencing with the height. My water temps stay normal, however the water is still quite cold.
Not to bust in on every spectre thread, just not many skaters on this board, atleast with O/B's.

Thanks for the info. I want to run mine with less then 15 to see how much if any faster it will be. I was told if you drop below the 15 mark the motors will go into thier safe mode and drop to 3000rpm. What type of speeds are you seeing out of your Skater?
Thanks
Andy

Unless going my gauges are off, I am not going into safe mode. I am running 300 Promax's, Not X motors. Dont have any real high speeds to show yet. I have run 104.5 with full fuel and 3 people and gear in the boat only turning 5900 so far. Realisticly, the boat should run 110 maybe 112 on its best day, which is about what most full interior pleasure versions run with these motors. I am still playing with my motor height and props to see what combo gives me my best speeds. I am running a new set of 3 blade 15x34 lab Merc cleavers, I will probably end up cutting them down to 14 3/4 or even 14 1/2 to get some extra rpm.
