Fastest 30' Spectre

What is the fastest 30 Spectre anyone has heard of? Specs?

I finally got mine bag together with new 548CI NA engines with the AFR 315 heads. I've seen 120 so far in hot weather with stock 34" props.

I know Todd Lambs is close to 140. There have got to be some others out there with big power?

Yep, that is the other boat boat I was thinking of. It seams like there would be some others 130+ range but these are really the only ones I have heard of. You really don't have to have crazy power to get them to run and they are light enough they shouldn't be to bad on drives(I hope).

Dean Ferry 09-24-2015 11:12 AM

So it is 140? Inquiring minds would like to know.... :)

The one that popped up the other day stripped had visions running through my head of this lol

Is the Todd Lamb one you refer to the same one in the classifieds with no power?

BadReputation 09-30-2015 09:38 PM

No the one in the classifieds was mine. It went to Florida and is getting the transom filled for outboards

Flightplan 09-30-2015 10:50 PM

What's the beam on a 30 Spectre?

Seen yours, it was in swap. Did you have it in the paid classifieds? There is another although extremely overpriced with Todd Lamb as the contact in classifieds.

Well with new Herings on her, she's over 120....

Dean Ferry 04-03-2017 01:19 PM

Latest test run from Saturday, 124MPH on a phone GPS app! Pretty stoked

Rockyone 04-04-2017 07:05 AM

Mine has been 137 on the lake at 760' above sea level, so maybe 140 in salt and it might be for sale

No the boat was setup and sold new by Rolf Papke of Proroc marine in Brick NJ,I bought in the fall of 2011 at the time the owner was 84 years old and hadn't used it since 2006 it has 500 efi's with whipples and -2 imco's turning 36 bravos with 1.21 gears at 5800 rpms 120-125 is safe but 130+ in the boat is asking for trouble I only run the boat a couple time a year but after a ride the thought of selling it goes away

obrien 04-04-2017 10:16 PM

the best part dean is the boat feels great at that speed. I think a little bit more work on the balance of the boat and she will be even better

if I remember correctly, 02-03 was around the time the imcos starting showing up. That's when we started playing more with drive heights on the 30s.
once we moved the x-dimensions as high as we could on the transom, and the availability, of the shorter lowers, we started seeing some improvements in the performance of the 30 I/Os

J/K,
The engines are Victory Marine 720's

obrien 04-12-2017 10:34 PM

the best part is probably the acceleration. Granted it is stable as can be at 125 too.

Yeah bud, it sure does hit hard, when you push the sticks forward.....

Dean Ferry 05-05-2017 11:51 AM

Just bought some 15 x 34 5 blade Herings so hopefully I can pick-up a couple of MPH, and get off the limiters...! :)

Let me know when you get it dialed in. I'll right over for a ride.

obrien 05-07-2017 09:59 PM

O,
COOL, hopefully I'll still be in the states.........

insanedaddy 07-02-2017 10:34 PM

I love the numbers you guys are throwing down with the big power I/O's. I wonder what the fastest twin outboard powered Spectre is? I have seen the video of Jay's trip powered 30 throw down some 115's. I wished this forum was more active with Spectre Owners.
