2.5 offshores
 

I'm looking at a pair of 2001 280 hp with 140 hours and all fresh water. What do you think they are worth? They are going to go on a 30 spectre.

at 140 hours each, they need pistons, rings, and bearings. And likely need to be Re Ni-Com plated........... 2500-3000 in work each.
No 280 should be run past 100 hours, the rings will start to eat the cylinder walls. Leakdown can be fine, but when you pull them apart they are sharp enough to shave with. If you take care of them they will run for a long time..... abused or warn out.......... BOOM.

hows the market on these in comparison to a pair of 2003 300x's with hours in the 160 area w 20 inch sportsmaster lowers ? and whats there value ? dont mean to hijack your thread.

Dave be careful of 2.5's with that many hours. I compare 2.5's to 900's in relation to amount of hours expected.
