30ft spectre Info

How much does a 30ft spectre weigh with twin 225's. I have read three different numbers and now I am confused! Also what kind of top spped should I expect to see with this setup? Thanks in advance
Don

Don, hold out for one with 300's...225's won't be near as much fun.
225 Optimax?? If so, they are heavier than 300X's...
I would guess approx 4500LBS with either twin set-up

Thanks for the info. The 225's are the 225 Pro Max sports. From the information I found they are a little lighter than the 300's. The reason I am looking at this boat with the 225 is becasue I am 26 yrs old and the insurance is a lot less than a boat with 300's. And seeing this is my first cat I thought it would be a good beginner, but if I am wrong let me know. Have you drove a 30 spectre with 225's?

Here is the boat that I am looking at.

Any info would be great

Thanks
Don

100 mph seems a lil steep for that set-up. i had a 98 with 2003 300x's, 1.62's, spinning 15x32 3 blade labbed cleavers and my best ever was 107...was an everyday 102 mph boat. my set-up (engine height) was a lil conservative so i may have been able to squeeze out a few more mph...GREAT BOAT THOUGH...WOULD BUY ANOTHER 1 IN A MINUTE

Yeah I have seen your old boat down here. I talked to the new owner a couple times at the beach.

I also don't think that boat will do 100 I was thinking mid 90's. He is way off on the price so we will see if he wakes up and come to his senses.

same thought I have 300 promax and run around 100-102.

my old 30 with 300 Promax's went 103 on its best day and mid 90's any day...one of my employees has an 05 30 with 300X's. Upper 90's anytime, temp, load etc and best of 105. Also conservative on set-up...23psi water at full throttle.
That boat was tested at Lake Tarpon before the first owner took delivery (write up on Scream and Fly somewhere) with the 250 Optimaxs on it and went 100. 225's might just get it to 100 on the perfect day, with 6 drops of gas, no passengers and cool air :D
You won't be disappointed in the boat no matter what, especially if you can buy it right...worst case you want faster sell the 225's and pick up a set of 300's down the road :D
