If the boat has std lowers adding shorties will help both top speed and porpoise ,the x dimension on the 30s was limited by hatch clearance and transom height and was quite low for cat standards,the only downside of the higher x would be a little harder on the lower gear set,the 30s are pretty easy on drives,give Jay a call he can fill you in on the setup and expected gains
