Questions about driving a 32 Spectre

I bought a 2006 32 with twin 625 ilmores with set back boxes with sportmaster drives my last 2 boats where 28 eliminator daytonsa with twin 525s. which is a complete dif animal. I am still getting used to the spectre. I havnt really ran it that hard yet. But at about 100 mph It starts to chine walk a little. I usually back out of it. Because have never had a cat do that. Any help would greatly be appreciated thanks again

You could always ask the guy that designed the hull, Jay Pillini

think since they run the drives as surface drive's they don't like to much trim
Im sure someone that has one will chime in soon

good luck

Mine doesn't do it at all. Its rock solid to 130 MPH. tends to porpoise a little at about 70 MPH, but down trim or more power gets through that.

All ive learned so far is my props are supposed to have the hubs cut down about 5/8 of an inch. But not sure if that alone could make it chine walk. But so far not real happy with spectre!!! Starting to think i should of stayed with Eliminator.

Maybe a setup issue.
Is it this boat?
This is my old boat & it ran smooth up to 120mph, only porpoised in flat water full on fuel & passengers. Otherwise rock solid.

No mine is red and silver. Saw yout old boat on you tube. Nice looking boat. I am not sure what it is. what motors did you have in yours? I was told mine would run over 130mph. I am not sure what the issue is. up to 110 mph it runs well. but at 100 it starts to walk. And at that speed i dont feel real comfortable with it chime walking. ive played with the trim. on yours did you have the hub of the propped cut down? I spoke to jay Pillini And he said it was a must on a merc bravo 4 blade?

PM me your # & ill call you. Yes my boat had ILMOR 625's w/ Teague Platinum drives. I know your boat & the original owner. Nice boat & ran well.
Merc Bravo1 4 blade 34's w/ the diffuser ring cut off.
I bought my boat from Nick Buis, who is now a principal in Statement Marine. He's someone else that could assist you.
