Logo Permission
1 Attachment(s)
I'm working with Seadek to create some new flooring with the older Spectre logo that has the boat in it. Seadek wants me to get permission, but I'm not sure if Jay would own that or the new owner. Does anyone know? I see that Spectre doesn't use that logo anymore.

Following, I want to do the same thing to my boat.
|
If you own a Spectre, you should be able to put a Spectre logo on it. I found a different place that agrees with me. :)
Spectre chose not to respond to me. |
I also would love to do this to my boat. I emailed seadek about a pattern and got no response.
|
PM me if you want my source. I just sent a template to FL and should have something to show in a couple weeks.

Starting to come together. The top will be brushed black with white showing through.

I am interested to see how yours turns out. I really want to do that to my boat. I love the Seadek flooring. What colors are you going to use. You will have to post some pics. This owner forum is usually dead. Its nice to see some activity in here.

Here's a pic I saw somewhere. Not mine, but I would like mine to look like it!

The flooring is in! I'm still going to do some 1" thick black mats on the footrests. We raised the seat bottoms 2" to see over the windshield. I didn't anticipate that would make it impossible for the wife to reach the footrest.

That is beautifully done!

Thanks!
|
That's awesome. I need something like that
|
Wow. That came out great!

Thanks for the compliments!
I finally received and installed the footrest pads. I think it looks better having the black there. Plus, they are just a hair over 1" thick and really help get your butt planted in the seats with the elevated cushions. Attachment 574328 Attachment 574329 |
Nice looking interior!
|
That turned out really good.

Looks great! I love what you did in the sides and rear deck, too. I keep staring at mine trying to decide what I want to do on the back of the boat.
|
Thanks.. I'm waiting to put 1 more across the mid-hatch which will also have the Spectre logo in it, just waiting to get all the stuff mounted under it before doing the template... It's hard to see, but the cabin is snap-in... Makes it easy to remove and clean.. Love this stuff, soon comfy on the feet!!
|
so where did you finally get them made at? They both look awesome!!
|
I worked with Caitlyn Campbell of Buis Enterprises in FL. She has ties to Statement Marine.

A bunch more Marine Mat is pending. I just approved this rendering for the deck and dash...

here's mine

Is that mat easy to clean? Do you just use a deck brush with soap and water? What happens if it comes time to remove it? Will it peel up in one piece or 1,000,000 little pieces? It looks great and seems like it would be much better than the carpet.

I actually changed the dimensions of one piece in the cockpit and had to pull up a piece that had been on for about 6 weeks. The adhesive is very strong, but it came up in multiple big pieces. It would tear where the pattern was milled down to a single layer. |

Yes, cleans up easy with soap and water. It's closed cell, so doesn't really get that dirty to begin with. But, that's part of the reason I went with black on top. I thought about doing white on top with black lines.

I just realized that MarineMat is only 8 miles from my house. I'm going to stop by and see it in person. Both of you guy's boats look great and I'm tired of messing around with the carpet.

Cost
I'm curious? How much was it for the 30 and how much was all of the deck/dash stuff?
|
You can expect to pay $750 to $1K for the cockpit and $1500 to $2K for the whole deck/dash depending on design, logos, etc. How well they are able to utilize the material really makes a difference in the cost. If you choose Seadek, expect to pay more. I was quoted more than double just for the cockpit.
|
Well, this deck project turned out to be too complicated to work remotely through Marine Mat. By chance, I ran into a guy installing the same stuff on a boat locally. His company is called Aquatraction. He was nice enough to come to my home and work on the boat, even though he's almost 2 hours away. It should be totally finished in a few days. I'll post pics of all the little details, then. But, here's a sneak peek...
