Rear Seat Latches
 

There are two round Perko latches for the rear seat headrest section that flips open for storage and and cooler. I've seen some Spectre 30's that don't have them. My boat went into the upholstery shop for a new cockpit interior today and I was hoping to eliminate those eyesores. Just wondering if I need to find another way to latch or if it will be fine without anything as it's very heavy. If I need to find another method of latching, does anyone have an example to share?

I have the two latches you're talking about on my boat. I never even use that space. You could just close permanently and upholster over the top.

No, I want to use the space, especially the cooler. That area will soon have black CF vinyl and I plan to install all black latches unless someone can show me a different method of latching.
