24' cc
How do they run with a single 225 two-stroke? Wet? Any details would be appreciated. Thanks CH

typically they would run low 60s if I remember correctly
|
I have a 2006 with a 250xs and it will run about 62 with the canvas top open and 3 people on board. I will say that the boat is well put together and has held up very well over the past 12 years and 600 hours. It has a good amount of deadrise and handles the chop well. I would certainly recommend the boat. I was actually so impressed with the boat that I bought a 30 spectre too.

We had one for years. Absolutely loved that boat. Ran 55-60 consistently with a 225. One of the few 24ft center consoles that can handle true offshore conditions. |
Thanks guys. Any porpoise tendencies?

No porpoise issues on mine. Maybe if you had one with a heavier verado you might? Nice thing is you can cruise at 4200 rpm running 30-32 mph and get 4 mpg. Make sure you get one with trim tabs. Being a center console it always seems like everyone wants to hang out on one side or the other. It is a little more narrow than some 24' boats and with the deadrise angle the boat will need the tabs to keep it level.

I will add that these boats don't really care for or need any extra setback. I rigged one under a different name in 2014 with a 300 verado. the batteries and steering pump were installed in the console. This boat had no issues with porpoise and ran 69.7 mph at 6450 rpm. With the lighter opti the boat should handle great and be a fun boat all around. I think there may be one being built in the near future that is going to have a sport deck on it, instead of a center console
