Hey Sunsation - future models?

Just wondering if Sunsation has any plans to expand the line up beyond "offshore" style boats, maybe something along the lines of the Formula SS dayboats?

Sunsation quality and support + room for the whole family = a sure winner! :D How 'bout it, guys?

Hey Dock,

The next model in line after the F4 will be a 37 foot closed bow or shorter version of the F4 and a center console 37. After that, who knows what will come next. Nice idea to ponder on though, who knows :-)

Dave, I figured you guys for a CC sooner or later - give Concept a run for their money and I'm sure it will have some of those special Sunsation extras!

Heck, just peel the deck off the Dominator, put on a CC console and away you go - talk about getting your money out of one mold! :D (BTW, if you guys do this, I'll take one with twin Merc 250 EFIs as my royalty payment ;) )

Wayne's heart be still!!! A Sunsation sport CRUISER. I think the next time we talk I will tell him my kids are now having kids, now I'm a grandpa, and I need to cruiser. Just saw that F4 down the middle, widen it 3 feet, raise the deck a little, and we will be good to go. :evilb: :evilb: :evilb:

Hey Dave - did you hear anything about the recall on the Ford F450's?

Pause,

I did get the re-call on my F450, they need to add a 2nd Turbo Charger to it and other performance modifications. It only runs low 12's in the 1/4 mile and Ford's not happy about it. :D

That's about the same as your old one, after 12 minutes of sputtering to get started you were about 1/4 mile down the road. :D

I am heading for the lake in about 10 minutes. Need to clean the rest of the stuff out of the condo that is not being sold with it, most of it being boat stuff. I also plan to stop by Raymond's and re-aquaint myself with the dominator.

Talk to you soon Dave.

I talked to Wayne last Friday and they have baked the plugs to accellerate any movement do to use of dis-similar materials. He got some heaters and created a tent like structure over the hull and deck plugs, and warmed them up to 180 degrees for several hours.

Now they are working on the areas that had some movement. So not sure there would me much new to show in updated pics, but I am sure Dave will chime in here.

We are getting a lot closer to making some molds :D :D

Thrill,

We're stickingwith what we're good at. With the F4 in process and two more models right behind it and the demand we have for all our models I couldn't see getting to a cat project for a long, long, long, long, long time. :-)

It sounds to me that a cat is a long ways away :D :D

Hmmmm. Finish the F4 - 6 months
R&D and build one new model - 24 months
R&D and build the second new model - 18 months

Build a Cat - FOREVER.........I guess that is priceless :evilb: :evilb:

I think right now a few of us not so extreme size boaters are licking chops over the prospect of the 37.....I think that's the max amount of hull I EVER want to wax and maintain..... :D

As far as the CC goes, I live in a saltwater fisherman's playground. Fishing boats are king here, so i think that model would really take off in terms of shear numbers.....Hey Shoreline, you're definitely gonna want this model....

When I started this whole thing I thought I was getting a 36-37 foot model. Oh well, it grew

I don't worry about waxing, I just have David come down for that :evilb: :evilb:

I think I read somewhere that Fountain's fishboats outsell the offshore models by something like 2 to 1.

Hey Dock,

I think you're accurate with that statement, there are way more fisherman than powerboaters !

Re: Hey Sunsation - future models?

I keep looking at that 33/36 Concept. The only thing I'd like is better wind protection, seems like that little dinky windshield wouldn't do much for you - fine if you're in Florida, not so good in Michigan unless you only boat in late July - August.

Be real interested in seeing what the innovative minds at Sunsation come up with - I'm not a fisherman, but I'd like a big party barge that could take the in-laws to dinner, let my kids hang out to watch the fireworks, and still let me run a Poker Run or Fun Run on the weekends. Concept is pretty close to that utility infielder kind of boat, can't wait to see if Sunsation can put your unique touch on that idea...
