Chris,
We put them on all the time, but first we bulk up the area where we put them with more glass and laminate in a 1/2 in piece of marine plywood. We put them on the starboard side of that center vent. Keep in mind, the cleats work real well, folks secure a line between the two cleats and center off that for pulling. David |

Re: single ski tow eye on rear of 288
Along the lines of what Dave mentioned, I purchased a waterski bridle this year to eliminate the offset of the stock ski eye. Basically a big "Y". Attaches to the rear cleats and hangs clear of the swim platform.
Check out Bart's or Ski Limited, costs about $30, works well. |

Hey Chris this is what I have, You can pull from just one, pull two skiers. or use a water ski bridle like Swift1 mentioned that works great. I would be hesitant about using your cleats, were they are reassessed you may get some chaffing. My cleats have also loosened up with regular use, and I cant get to them to tighten them up.

Kirk,
You should be able to reach the polly nuts in the back with a wrench and have someone else tighten the screws. 7/16 box end |
