Re: 288 Or 32 Dominator
SSpeedFreak: That was Progressive/Drive - through USAA. I can tell you that was the best that I could find. When you taking delivery of your boat?
|
Re: 288 Or 32 Dominator
Thru USAA...wow. Is it because of the waterway you use that the rate is higher than for someone like me inland on a lake? Have you tried State Farm? Who were some of the others you had quote you?
ETA is end of March....what a slow month Jan is for me :) |
Re: 288 Or 32 Dominator
I have 04 32 MOB with 6.2s and in rough water 28 doesn't stand a chance against it.

Re: 288 Or 32 Dominator
I have a 32 MCOB and would like the comfort of having a closed bow in rough water myself! :D

Re: 288 Or 32 Dominator
I wouldn't worry about the resale. I would love to have any boat 28ft+ with twin small blocks.
More reliable, less strain on the outdrive, cheaper to replace, easier to work on (space that is), burns less gas weighs less cheaper insurance |
Re: 288 Or 32 Dominator
Go thru Worldwide to get a Progressive policy, NOT Progressive itself. Sounds strange, but it's different.
Also try Farmer's Insurance Shawn. Get with Gizmo (Jay) up there who has real good broker for marine insurance thru Farmers'. also stay away from "Yacht Policies". A whole bunch of add-on stuff for nothing and always more expensive. Also don't cover your trailer unless financed of course) because it's covered under you auto policy when connected to the truck. |
