288: Can this price be right?

Check this out:

Seems way over-priced. I checked NADA, and with the proper motor selection their numbers are: 54k - 60k. The dealer is asking 82k. Nice boat, but...

Not trying to stir the pot, but there was a 2004 28 Active Thunder with a 525EFI, 135 hours, XR, K-planes, CMI, Full ext steering, pump-out head, etc... and they wanted about the same money... or less! The motor in the AT alone, accounts for huge dollars.

What do the Sunsation experts hear think? If it was priced by NADA, I might just stretch my ultra-conservative fiscal policy.

Thanks,

Tom

That is Larry's old boat (Benztech on OSO), he traded it for a 32. The boat is very clean and was a Lake Lanier boat. You could have bought that boat new in 04 as a winter special breakout deal for 71,900 in a factory blowout pricing deal. I think 48K may be a bit agressive on this particular boat since it is so clean but anything in the mid-50's should take it. Several dealers want to store inventory instead of selling inventory. Ever price Lake Cumberland Marine?:D

Thanks guys,

Interesting point that during the winter some dealers may just be 'storing' inventory, rather than really trying to sell.

Yes, 48500 may be a bit agressive, but good advise.

Low fifties, I would be very serious.

More to follow.

Thanks,

Tom
