288 Standard Graphics pkg
 

Are the standard graphics packages on 2001 and newer 288 Sunsations painted on, or are they vinyl? In other words, if I find a 2001 or newer that I like, can I 'easily' strip off the graphics and order the set from the facotry that I really like?

2001 would have Mitcher T painted graphics.
it does NOT get any better then that!

One of my BIGGEST reservations about Sunsation... Mitch T.

This is the only boat I would buy Brand New. I would buy it brand new, to make sure he couldn't touch it.

His quality is excellent, do you not like his designs, his painting ability or his personality?

Sunsation has had an excellent relationship with him but they will definitely sell you a white boat. I have heard several great stories about Mitcher T going the extra mile to help people out both with paint issues or other things.

you much not know much about Sunsation or Mitcher T,if you thought a 2001 Sunsation would have vinyl graphics.
as far as Mitcher T ,his work speaks for itself.

I'm sure the painting quality is top notch, I just don't like the painted race fairing... I think it breaks the lines too much.

You can order them anyway you like them. As far as your comment about Mitch, you obviously have never met the man or seen his work up close.

I worked with Mitch closely on the F4. He is great to work with and does outstanding work. He will be more than willing to work out whatever design you want.

My opinion, you came across pretty strong on Mitch if the only thing you want is to leave your faring un-painted.

Why does it seem there must be something else eating at you!

If everyone in the marine business took care of their customers the way Mitch does,their would be alot more happy boat owners!

Sunsation will gladly sell you a white boat. I hope and assure you that whatever your issue is, I will not inhibit your purchasing decision in any way. Being your typical 1st class quality guy again I see. Did the snow slow your trip home at all?

As a future Sunsation owner, I can tell you that I would not want anyone else but Mitch painting my boat. I have followed his work for years and am confident that the experience as well as the end result will be second to none.

Not soon enough John. End of March is ETA...in fact, waiting to hear from Adam regarding when they will start (last I heard, 1/26 was start date). January has been the slowest month of my life! Even though I can't use it, I am dying to have it....now I know what withdrawl feels like :).

BTW, I saw your boat at the factory during my visit...incredible ride!!

John, I drove to Chicago, and it was a little dicey on the way home. I'm glad I didn't fly. I kinda enjoyed my alone time, so it was no big deal. Thanks

Mitch just painted this 32 for us. He did it on short notice and over the Christmas holidays. Even took the time to send photos of the entire paint process. The customer was very happy and the finished product was great.

If you mention something in passing it's no big deal. If you put it in writing it becomes, well, look above.

Behind most brands today, there is no real person behind it. No real person to offend or take defense. Obvisiously not the case here.

While my intention was not to offend, I would agree my words were too strong.

Everyone makes mistakes, it is cool that you came back and realized/ apologized. Mitcher T is a cool guy that does nice work. Maybe you should have him do a custom job on your new boat to tweak it the way you want it.

My tail is tucked neatly and securely between my legs...

If I don't hang myself tonight, (just kidding) I will buy a used Sunsation 288. Sunsation has risen to the top of my list for more reasons than I can get into here.
