Re: F-4 Hull #3 ALMOST FINISHED!!
Can the 32 MCOB not handle rough water? Why would there be hesitation to take it out into Lake Michigan? Only asking because I have considered an MCOB and boat almost exclusively in Lake Michigan.
I apologize for hijacking the thread but the previous posts have me thinking it's not a good boat choice for Lake Michigan. |

Much more likely to take water in the boat on rough seas in the open bow vs. closed deck.
You may want to talk to Jupiter, he probably can give you the best advice since he runs his MCOB in the ocean. |

I apologize for hijacking the thread but the previous posts have me thinking it's not a good boat choice for Lake Michigan. Mental said it best, if you stuff you will get wet. If you know the area then you know what to watch out for etc. and it usually isn't an issue. |
Re: F-4 Hull #3 ALMOST FINISHED!!
I suspected that was the reason. There must be drain holes in the bow to direct water into the bilge if it were to come over the bow. I could see water getting into the cabin through the MCOB front door if it were open. According to Jupiter it doesn't seem to stay closed running in rough water. In any event you could run with the bow cover in place in rough conditions to prevent water entry. Thanks guys.

Venomous - If you are interested in checking out a 32 mid-cabin, we have an 07 in stock just up the road from you in Grand Haven! The boat is beautiful and we need to unload it to make room for another F-4 (we also have hull #3 which will be in Miami). Call Rick at the Wharf Marina with any questions and come check it out!
