2008 F-4 Hideaway Marina
2 Attachment(s)
We have had a few calls about this boat from the Sunsation website so I thought we would post a few photos that we have so far. The boat sold today. We have another one on order and the paint can still be picked out. Hideaway Marina (954) 943-3200

This boat needed some lime green trim in there somewhere to really make it jump.
What motors does it have? |
700 SCi Mercs and NXT-1 drives. This is a great set up. Even as big as the boat is with all of the options it can break the 100mph mark. The one year warranty is nice too.

I agree- bit more flash on the paint would look better IMHO.

Leave the paint up to Mitcher T,after all he is the paint God:cool:
|
I assume Mitch did this one like mine, with the entire boat painted pearl white, and the clear having spin drift in it. That makes a huge difference when you see mine in person rather than in a picture. I bet it makes a huge difference on this one too. I do like the idea of a little green in it to set it off though.:D

Boat looks great... Any reason why Sunsation does not add a nice small but effective windshield similar to a Nortech 43v?

You are correct. Photos make it hard to see the detail. Just like your boat it looks red and white til you see it in person and the details come out. I agree some green would have been been cool. Maybe on the next one. 25 hors: I will be heading up to the factory soon to see the boat and will take some larger photos and can email them to you. |

I hope Jo and Wayne don't shoot me for this but I bet if you wanted one as custom as Sunsation is I'm sure they might be able to build you one.

Here are a few photos after the test run last week.
|
Why not put a 120 mph gps speedo in it so you really know how fast you are going? Sweet boat, I am sure whomever buys it will be a happy camper. Good luck with the sale!
|
I'm sure you will see a different speedo in the future. You can change the Garmin to display the speed too. We would like to thank the Sunsation crew for building another great boat and Mitch for a great paint job.
|
I saw this boat on Thursday Parked at Sunsation. It was super sharp. I love the colors.
|
I went out with Joe in that boat on Thursday for one last test before it shipped down to Hideaway. That boat does not need a windshield, and it has an LCD that shows the speed digitally, so when the 100 mph speedo isn't enough (I don't think even Wayne thought these would be that fast) you can still tell just how fast you are going.
Going 60 in one of those boats is like going 60 in a Lincoln or a Caddy on the freeway. Going 80 is like doing 80 in your Lincoln or Caddy with the windows down. Going 95 or so is the same, only your sunglasses try to pull off your face. So you had better get goggles. As far as the wind, doing 50 in a Ranger bass boat is much, much worse. You really don't get that "My skin is going to blow off my face" feeling in the cockpit of the F-4. Someone needs to order one of these with 850's or 1075's so we can see one really cook! Honestly, doing 90 in an F-4 is less eventfull than 40 in my Nova. That boat is that good! |
Glad you enjoyed the ride. It is a great boat with 700's. You might see a 850 or 1075 boat out before you know it.

No warranty on the 1200's so that is a tough motor to stock. We just sold our next two production spots. One customer ordered the 700's and the other is a 662 boat. Looks like it will be a little while now before a 850 or 1075 boat is out.

Can you get one with ILMOR V-10's?

From what I remember Ilmor doesn't want to help with R & D on the install with the manufacturers so most boat builders don't want to waste their time installing them. |
