phughes69, some things to consider about what you have heard: Was the boat kept in the water or was it trailered? Of course sitting in the water will increase your chances of water damage. 2= That boat is close to 20 years old, in the 20 years of its life was the exhaust ever pulled off? if so was it sealed properly? Also in 20 years the sealent could of lost its ability to seal. These are all things to consider, I have not heard of an issue with the rocket transoms. If you are looking into buying this boat, it should not matter long as the transom work was done by an expert at that repair. To me I would look at it as a plus, a 20 year old boat and one less thing to have to worry about. Just my two cents worth. Good luck with your purchase I hope it all works out for you. Also like 07' said call the factory talk with Chris, he will pointe you in the right direction, and hook you up with a great marine surveyer.
Please let us know what happens...:D
