Length of 288 on a trailer
I'm in the process of designing my new house and need to know how long a 288 on a trailer is so I can make my garage deep enough. I currently have a Baja now but after I get my house built I want to upgrade to a sunny :) Thank you for your help.

I think that depends on which trailer you buy. Mine came with the triaxle...which I believe will handle a 32 also. If you have a hitech marine aluminum triaxle trailer I will measure mine for you when I get home! Let me know!

I'd probably buy a tandem axle, but if you could measure yours for me, that would be great as a reference. Thank you very much.

It is 35'4" give or take an inch or two with the drive up. You can cut a few inches off with the drive down.

A 288 on a steel trailer is 34'6" A 288 on a aluminum trailer is 37' If you'd like to verify this info, just call the factory. |

Actually, the lengths vary. Straight from Joe at the factory.....

My 288 on a manning twin axle with the outdrive down and slightly turned fits inside a 40ft deep barn with like 5-6 ft to spare.
Your gonna build in 8ft increments anyways so just go 40' cause obviously 32' won't cut it, and you can jam a mower in front of it and a few boating realated rubbermaid bins or something. |
My 288 was around 34' with the drive down and would fit easily into my 36' garage it was on a Trailmaster tandem axle trailer....now the 32 on the other hand is an inch on each end at an angle! :coolcowboy:

:D Wanna come measure mine? I know I didn't miss mine by over a physical measure of a foot! Sure that isn't for a 32?
