Joey,

We do include it in the 288, but the running surface is a true 28.

Would make a great F1 boat - how bout it.

I figured you guys were tweaking the boat every which way to get it just right and would not release it until everything was......sunsational. I have seen the pictures of the innovator from the detroit boat show brochure, does it have strakes running on the back half of the hull, it does not look like it does in the pictures? Will the ss396 meet all of the F2 regulations, I'm guessing that you have already considered that when designing the boat? I heard a while back that the dominator was like an inch or two short from meeting the legal specs. I don't know if that was accurate or not since on the other thread you said a team will be in cleveland to race.

audacity 07-17-2002 09:03 AM

they meet it at 30 and 3"...just enough...but the weight is another story.

DaveSunsation 07-18-2002 06:42 AM

DK,.

No strakes on the back, the keel setup takes control where strakes would normally come into function. THe dominator was retooled after the "closest measurment in APBA's history", so we were told, came up less than 1/2 inch short, so we added 3 inches to the boat. F2-10 Team Xtreme out of Tulsa races the Dominator. THe SS396 will meet F2 regulations in hull length with a 38' center line. Unlike the new 32 Innovator (which is debuting today) where we released information too early, I'm keeping the lid tighter until we are "Sunsational" with every thing in, on and around the boat. You never know though, all the great OSO members push and push until they get what they want......information, so I'll try to keep everyone informed as much as possible.

Dave,
Well were waiting, how did the first test run in the innovator go? Please let us know, we cant take the suspense. Are you bringing it to the rally?

DaveSunsation 07-19-2002 08:43 AM

Dono,

Yes the Innovator will be at the rally, the first run yesterday was sqashed by the storm so today we'll be running her - it really has turned out very very nice, better than any of us thought.

Audacity,

Help me out here......what is a SVL?, hope it's not something I should know.

audacity 07-19-2002 08:50 AM

Reckless32 07-19-2002 10:40 AM
