Got the 383s out for a spin this weekend
 

Ran up to the Gnarly Gar on Lake Travis for lunch. Went to meet up with some buddies on his wake board boat. Gave them a nice big head start and caught up quickly. Ran in to someone I knew on the way, a 35 Formula with twin 500s and I walked away by a MPH or two. He said his speedo was around 78, but I don't think that was accurate...but I hope he's right!

What HP did you finally get? How many MPH did you gain? Great project, I have a buddy with a ZX that is looking to do a similar build.

We hit 400 on the nose with full gear, if we ran dyno headers we could claim 450 easily. A little light on MPH gains right now, it's probably around 5 MPH right now. There's certainly some tuning that needs done with the props. It accelerates like mad up to the top speed and then hits a wall at 7/8 throttle, very abruptly. Pushing further does nothing. Waiting to hear back from BBlades so I can turn all the RPM she has in her.

Yes, it's really sad. This is about where it was at the end of last year. If we don't catch a heavy storm, we're going to have a rough summer.
