1995 sunsation 288
How do the older 288 ride and perform without the step in the hull? I am looking at a used one with the 502 with 640 hours that is in nice shape. What speeds can I expect? I was set on a 27 Fountain Fever but it looks like the cabin is much larger on the 288. Any thoughts?

I owned a 2002 288 (non stepped) for 5 years. It was a great boat. Should run mid-high 60s with that engine.

Owner is telling me 70-75 on gps depending on the load.

I had a 99' 288 which should be the same hull. 600 hp put it at 80 MPH on GPS spinning a 28 bravo lab. Is it a stock 502? What prop is he running?

I have a 2000 288 and had the 502. 68.4 was the fastest I recorded on GPS. I ran a labed 24 B1 prop. That is a nice looking boat!

I am going to pass on it but it is a very clean boat. Here is the link to it.. https://newyork.craigslist.org/fct/boa/6139801113.html
