WTB Late model 32 MCOB

I’m getting back into go fast boats as our 33 Sundancer is up for sale. Kids want the speed again! We did have a twin step 35 lighting with 525’s and am now convinced a 32MCOB is the way to go. Couple questions, what years were they made? Also, all I see are 496 boats. No blue motors out their?

I think the MCOB came out around 04 or 05? The boat will run mid 80s with 496HO, low 90s with 525s. Very few have 525s in them. I'll have a 2008 coming on brokerage in the next two weeks. I can email pics the owner just sent me, send me an email to [email protected] and I'll forward pics.

This 32 MCOB with Mercury Racing 500's was still available late summer it was on OSO for a while but I think the add just expired don't think it sold.

The 05 with 500’s looks very clean but what are the performances differences between a single step blue motor boat vs twin step with HO’s? I would think pretty close.

The old dominator hulls with 500s will run low to mid 80s. I think PB magazine tested a new one once at 88 top end, but I would count on more of 82-83 with a more normal load. The bigger differences is in the old style hull and new style hull, depth of freeboard, and which hull you like better. If it were me, that would drive the decision between an old style 500 boat and a new style HO boat.

The old style hull is classic, one of my all time favorite looking lines. And they are really fun to drive.

So I'm looking at same top end with older style 500efi boat and HO boat twin step? I'm sure the 500efi boat mid range is stronger. I'll take similar top end with not having to worry about top end rebuilds every 300hrs or so.
