Top speed of 32' Dominator with HP500's/ and 496MagHO's
 

Im just curious what speeds you are running with a 32' Dominator (step hull) With HP-500's and 496 MagHO's. What size props? Speed with labbed props and without. What is the absolute best speed? And what you consistently get for a top speed?

fastest ever 79.0 @ 5100
consistently 77-78 mph

Consistanly 88 mph. HP500's 513hp and 518hp on the dyno. Labbed Mercury 30p. Rev limiters are set at 5450 and I can turn these props 5400.

While not a 496 or HP500, I've gotten 550 hp on the dyno with a set of Whipple'd 454 mag's. With a box stock 32" Bravo prop, I've seen the GPS read:

91 mph a couple of times
90 mph quite a few times
89 mph many times
88 mph all the time

Motors will range from 5000 to 5200 rpm depending on air conditions. I'm hoping a lab finish will help pick up a couple hundred RPM's and maybe a MPH or two.

KN, I have seen 81.? (something) on GPS. My wife says it was higher than that but I don't listen to her much on the boat (she drinks too much) 2001 32 496 HO's 28p Bravo's at Lake Havasu.
