Ok, i'm looking for the US Coast Guard inspection sticker that shows max persons and weight. However I can't find it anywhere? Anyone know where I might find it?

That sticker is typically only seen on outboard boats.

I think that sticker is only for boats up to a certain size. My parents 19ft i/o had a sticker.

I had one on my 1998 Checkmate I/O?
And I'm pretty sure it is required by the Coast Guard.

This is all I could find.
Note: A 22ft boat in our family has a placard. But not a 20ft. Both where bought new.



CAPACITY PLATES

A capacity plate is required on all monohull (single hull) boats, less than 20 feet in length, designed to carry two or more persons and propelled by machinery or oars as their main source of power. Boats exempt from having to display a capacity plate include pontoon boats, canoes, sailboats, kayaks, inflatables, hydroplanes, personal watercraft, and boats considered by the Commission to be of unusual or unique design. The capacity plate must be positioned close to the operator where it can be easily read.

The capacity plate provides important information about the boat, including maximum weight capacity, maximum horsepower, maximum person capacity by number, and maximum persons capacity by weight. Any person towed behind a boat is included in the total number of persons specified on the capacity plate.

No boat shall be loaded beyond its safe carrying capacity. Observe and understand your capacity plate. It is the law and it may save your life.

Ok, so it's only required on a boat less than 20 ft.

I was always under the impression it was for boats under 25' in length, my reasoning for this is our 21' Baja had a capacity plate, but our 25' Nordic did not, and our 32 sunny does not
