What rpm are you seeing. If your efficiently spinning those 30's with the 500efi's you should be mid 80's for sure

5100 rpm and if i try to trim it a bit more front starts bouncing

Where do you run the boat? Low 80’s is about right for an everyday speed for that boat. Mid-80’s would be a perfect weather, light load, perfect water conditions speed assuming motors are still strong.

on a rivers in canada , i just figured eith 2x 496 ho guys are runing 84 mph and with 2x 502 blue barely over 80

you start a post saying you have 502 efi's now there 502 blue motors, no such thing as a 502 blue engine, 500 hp, 500 EFI and 525 triple nickle. but there all 502 cu inch

Are the 496 guys the stepped hulls? I've been on a 496 HO stepped hull 2006 and yeah mid-80s are possible under very right conditions.

I was thinking the same thing. I don't think 496HOs on the older dominator hulls (which were my favorites) would do mid 80s with normal loads and normal conditions. My 2000 dominator with 454 mags, 385hp ran 75-76 at LOTO all day long. I ran labbed 28s on it. It never liked the last few ticks of trim. It would always bounce the nose, start to chine walk and slow the boat down 1-2mph.

The newer hulls are stepped hulls. Your 2002 is a straight hull with a pad.
