Old Aggressor Opinions
 

Hey Everyone! Just looking for some general opinions. Years ago I owned a ‘94 Dominator. Painful experience overall but that was then.

Sold the boat about 11 years ago after paying a ton of money into making her right. I was 37 when I bought her and about 42 when I sold her.

However (there’s always a however to every story ain’t there? Haha!). Ive never gotten the itch out of me when it comes to damn go-fasts. I’m now approaching retirement and pretty much have the wife sold on something for the near/not too distant future. We sold the ‘32 because, even after all the money and misery my best friend and I spent into owning and repairing it…it just no longer fit either of our lifestyles.

Once I sold it I pretty much left here and moved on with putting a kid through college and taking care of a lot of expensive deferred maintenance on the house. Those issues are resolved…leaving a little bit of possible fun money. When I started nosing around again I about fell off my chair when I saw Sunsation doesn’t even build anything but center consoles anymore!

I’m 52 now….and after 28 years working in the criminal justice field it has left me with a deeply
personal relationship with arthritis. LOL. my days of crawling around the bow of a big boat are plain old gone. So I started thinking about some of the old ‘25 Aggressors.

Any current or former owners have any opinions on how they’ve held up over the years…assuming proper care and maintenance of course?

we really don’t need anything as big as the ‘28 but wouldn’t rule one out. Power wouldn’t need to be fancy blue motors or whipple charged monsters…just the plain old 454 or 496.

Thoughts on how they’ve held up over time?

Headliner started to sag in two spots last year. Only issue boat has had. Its been taken care of people at launch dont believe it 20 years old .Quality boat, more than happy with it

Thanks for the input. I’ve heard of the headliner droop thing happening in a lot of older boats, not just theirs (happened in my parents old ‘83 Merc Grand Marquis and it was only 6 or so years old at the time so the boat industry has one up on the old cat manufactures there! Lll. Little costly to fix right but glad yours continues to run well. What kind of power you running? Straight 7.4L 330? Or have their been mods over time?

can’t recall….howl often do you have to tear down the blue motors for refreshing on average?

That would be the only thing to keep me away from them….if I recall it ain’t exactly an “oil change” when it comes to cost on that little project. Lol

They are fun little boats. I've been on one with 800HP in 4-6s; no joke. It wasn't a pleasant ride, but it was exciting. :D They got that boat up to 104 before it prop walked and scared the bejesus out of the operators. That same motor is now in a rare 32' Single Dominator, owned by the same chap. It's a proven hull, the 24x7 hull design has been made by at least 8-10 different manufacturers over the years dating back to the late 70s. There are some threads on such. The once with the windshields tend to look very dated, but the later ones can keep up with the visual times a little bit better. If you have not been on one yourself though, be sure to spend some time in it. They are a tiny boat compared to other brands that market their boat in the 25'-ish segment.

Thanks for the info.,…I’m in no rush to buy; just doing my due diligence. I LNOW there’s a cadre of those old ‘25’ out there and want to hear as much as posible ( I could write a book about my old
’94 Dominator 🙄🙄)

I remember reading about and seeing some pixs
of the “Unicorn” single 32’ back in the day. Had to be an interesting boat to drive
