CHris,
Boat is to heavy for a three blade, you'd have terrible slipage pushing the weight around. If you lowered your X a WHOLE bunch, then it would work. |

Re: Anyone ever tried a 3 blade on a 288
I agree with Dave Chris. I tried a Mirage Plus 3 blade when I was stock 415 hp, and it was TERRIBLE I had a hard time getting on plain,(ie slipping) and top end was also bad. Best prop to date when I was stock was a bravo 1 4blade. I also tried the Q4 hydromotive but it was NOT better than the Bravo 1.

Claude, thanks for the feedback... I have a best speed of 72.4 with my stock 26 bravo 1 @ 5,000,,, I'm hoping my labbed 26 turned into a 27 will turn 74-75 @ 5,100 or a labbed 28 74-75 @ 4,900... waiting to get props adjusted... :)

Re: Anyone ever tried a 3 blade on a 288
Thanks for the offer,, your about 2 hours away.. I bought a labbed 28 from a board member, and his marina sent the wrong prop,, his labbed 26, waiting for them to send me the right labbed 28.. The 26 they sent wasn't in great shape and had no cup in it,, I hope the 28 has a bit of cup and is in better shape.. Thanks Chris..
