Good thing Boomer - I might get a test run with no cabin interior, and it counts for the bet! :D

A cover girl cabin, interesting very interesting. Thats good for 3 to 4 mph with all the weight gone, and it should be under 10,000 lbs.

Rich.

If I am luck enough to get a ride, it is a win-win for me; no matter what speed is acheived.

In post #537 you show a picture of the starboard engine. It is hard to tell from the picture, but it does not look like there is a backing plate for the engine mount bolts.

I am sure you are anxious to get this boat on the water. This has been a long project. I have been following it from the first post. I like the updates and cannot wait to see the finished product.

H2O, the motors are in mock-up stage now and will be removed again before finally rigging is done. Rumor has it the port engine gets set in for mock-up today and the dash module was installed last night. Mental is down at LOTO right now making twin 600 exhaust noises while riding his Wave Runner! :D

Knot 4 me, Thanks for the reply. I got a good laugh about the 600hp noises :drink: :drink:

PWRQWST, I am an International Service Employee for an American company and live in Shanghai. We have just completed our China market research, developed our strategy and are now executing that strategy. I have been here for nearly a year and will most likely be here for another year, maybe two. There is no boating in China. Private ownership of boats is not allowed. If you have the resources and connections you can own a "work" boat, but must have a Chinese Gov't certified pilot.

I am currently living vicariously through you guys and your posts on OSO. Our last boat was a 37' Active THunder named Thunder EnLightening. When we return we will be looking at purchasing a 44-46 Sunseeker Camargue or Portifino.

I am very anxious to see this 43 Sunsation. It sounds like it is going to be something special.

That jet ski was not a dry ride on the main channel this weekend. But since it was mid 90s that was OK. But it was dryer than Mike's 24' pontoon. Colette and I were smart enough to ride in the back. The front seats took on a few thousand gallons of water in the ride from Frankie and Louie's to our cove. Colette laughed the whole way, looking at me and saying "remember when we had that deck boat."

Yeah, that was the one that broke on Memorial Day weekend of 1988. It would have sunk this past weekend.
