Congrats Bob Burlingham
Bob it is great to have Installer Marine onboard this year supporting SBI/APBA.
The support truck will be at all the races to support any team that needs it. Parts, Labor, set-up, and also he will be doing rigging, and testing between races. This will be a big plus for all of us, and something finally for the racers..... :D :D :D Good luck on your new venture you are one of the best in the bussiness . Re: Congrats Bob Burlingham
For those who haven’t heard…
Bob Burlingham is President of recently formed Installer Marine. Installer Marine is based in Washington, NC where Bob has leased facilities from Fountain. The location and facilities enable Installer Marine to provide essentially the same (and in most cases better) services as offered at Mercury’s X-Site, where Bob previously worked as a Master Technician. Bob’s experience as a Crew Chief of National and World Championship race teams and Mercury Racing technical insider, enables you to put the best of the best on your team. Installer Marine is open to all race teams and performance boat owners to test and tune your equipment for maximum performance. Facilities include cranes and scales to weigh and balance your boat, a fiberglass shop, engine and drive shop, and the world famous testing waters located adjacent to the Fountain factory. Bob has a multi-million dollar parts warehouse at his disposal with a full line of drives, spacers, and propellers for tweaking your setup. Installer Marine has a 40-foot race support truck that will be at every SBI/APBA National race to provide racer’s technical support and discounted parts. Additional discounts will be given to teams who sign-onto to be a part of Installer Marine’s race team entourage. What does this mean for SBI/APBA racers? After 15 years of non-support from Mercury Racing, SBI/APBA race teams are now assured that experienced technical support and parts will be at every race site to make sure whatever they need is at their disposal. It also means that no matter what brand of equipment, or Class you run, you have a place to go to test, tweak, and repair you setup. Congratulations Bob….you have seen the need, and found the way to fill the void. |
Re: Congrats Bob Burlingham
Congrats Bob...
Bob was our crew chief when I ran with Mark K. in the Activator in 2003 and 04...and help me us X-Site.... We couldn't ask for a better sisuation for our team....its 2 hrs from were we keep the boat in Va Beach and while were in Fl. we have X-site....we can test all year with out having to drive 15 hrs no matter were the boat is.... Thanks for making it easier and more convenent for the racers....looks like a Dragon with be hanging out in Reggieville |
Re: Congrats Bob Burlingham
I'm on my way up to do the engine swap and some testing with the new power. This will be a great plus to all the SBI/APBA racers this year...

Re: Congrats Bob Burlingham
Sounds good 2 me... :drink: :drink:
The boat look awesome and they should be done today blue printing the bottom, and damn it looks good... should make a big difference. The the engine hatch and the rest of the glass work should be done by Tuesday. Weighing the boat tomorrow and with all the changes we"ll get the CG measured before it leaves. I had him do what we talked about with the ballast weight and it should work out prefect I have to say you did have a good Idea on that one ::)) Just waiting on the spacers you mailed and we should have everything we need to head up north. Julie sent me the props already and they are sweet, Matt did a hell of a job the 5 blades should give us some really acceleration they are way different then the ones I've seen before they have cut blades.... |
Re: Congrats Bob Burlingham
