I Need clarification on the Worlds dates
 

Do I read this correct that OSS has set there Worlds race for the same week as Key West? The reason I ask this is because SBI/APBA moved there Worlds race 1 week earlier this year.

I am completely disgusted that both Worlds will be run on the same dates again making teams decide which 1 to attend, I would love to see everyone at 1 location again but being that can't be done it would have been nice to at least have the opportunity to race at both Worlds :mad:

I try and stay as "neutral" as possible on these topics but this is TOTAL BS and is even more damaging to the sport !!! SBI backs their race up one week and the OSS decides to run theirs the same week !!! That's f#cked up !!! :mad: I don't care how you see it. I personally would like to be able to go to both Worlds if their can't be just one. I love racing but this is getting pretty sh#tty and enough is enough !!! :mad: Dave

Guys it is what it is...OSS had decided to race a different city for their Worlds for their own reason, it is what it is so be it.
Each group is doing what they feel is best for them, and as much as we would like to see it change I think we all know deep down that its isn't going to change.
From some of the comments made by racers it seems like that is what they want.

If there has to be (2) Worlds, so be it. But WHY on the same week ??? Not only do you cut boat counts down for both sides....you cut fans, supporters, media not to mention it hurts the cities !!!! Man, this pisses me off !!! :mad: :mad: :mad: I don't even know why we try anymore..... :mad: Dave

To whom it may concern?
If it pisses you off then do something about it! Lets face it if the racers all agree the only way to have a worlds is to invite all boats for a show down we could force the issue, but nobody does so why are we so pissed? Several people talk like they would race both ,but when it comes to race time we will run with which organization we support, out of all the boats I doubt more than two or three would run both events.The worlds are just another nationals with lipstick on it under the current plan!

John we had planed on racing a few of each this year. As for your coment on only 2 or 3 boats would race both I disagree I don't believe SBI would gain anything but OSS would gain 10-15 boats a tthere worlds if it was on another date.
