F1 2006
The new rule book is out,and posted on the SBI/APBA web.site . The new specs for F1 this year are in the rule book, and if anyone has any question please feel free to contact Steve or myself. We listen as a class and tried to put together what everyone has been looking for. The 500's are back, and we have raised the weight (4700 lbs) to try and help some of the older boats. Time is getting close so if anyone plans on running F1 please let us know.
We are still working on the purse for the National & Worlds so it should make for an exciting year. We are hoping to be able to have a huge purse to give the class a kick off. Part of the purse will be for the Nationals, and should make that exciting and a race for the point to the end. The balance will be for the Worlds WINNER take all after the 3 days of racing. |

Thanks Brian... We've done what we can the rest is up to the racers.
There are lots of great F1 boats out there and really good teams...time Will tell who is up for the challenge. |
Re: F1 2006
Brian,
Are you racing St Cloud ??? |
Re: F1 2006
Can't do it, we'll (AMF) be in Crescent City for a OPA/APBA special event.
Right now I plan on running OPA, and supporting POPRA with a couple events we hope to get together. In between that we will also be attending all AMF scheduled races and special events. So at this time we don't have any SBI races scheduled. My driver has limited time this summer also, as he will be a DAD again in early July :D They just found out its a boy. Gonna be another busy summer. :D :D :D I do hope you get some new boats out and have some great events. I wish all Factory Class racers good luck and be safe. |
Re: F1 2006
Brian, you will be very pleased with the upgrade to your motor!!!The 65?hp really makes a big difference to the f1 boats, hope we can all get together for one last race.
