Just as an aside
This rule is not a new rule in the world of motorsports. I race off-road in the Grand National Cross Country Series ( www.gnccracing.com). You want a national number, or any kind of placement in your class, you have to race 9 out of the 13 races. I went one year, and would have been 10th in my class (out of like 200 that raced all year), but scheduled farted myself into only 8 races (had to run rescue at a GLSCS event), and ended up no where. Oh well. Next year came back and took a 12th. Just outside the trophies, but still a spot in a National series.
Keep 'em fast, keep 'em safe.
