APBA "Mouse" Boats
Does anybody know what happened to the "Mouse" boats? Are they still around? If they are, who has them?
|
I bought 3 of them a few years back and fixed them up and sold them, 1 went to Hilton Head, one to West Palm and the other I sold at a auction......
Whats your thinking Bee...... |
Mouse Trap Racing.....just kidding
Looks like they are gone...what about those mini versions of the F1 boats...I remember seeing them sitting on jet ski trailers in boat lots all over South Florida a few years ago. Anybody know where some are...or who makes them? |
Ken,
A friend of mine Fred Miller ran the program until recently. Actually he might still run it. Give him a call 847 356 2924 He can fill you in on what and where. SQ |
Thanks Steve,
This could be very helpful if they are still around. Ken |

I raced one of the mouse boats quite a few years back, we sold it to a guy down the street from our house and I haven't seen it since.
|
Thanks Julie,
Think we can get "P10-XX" on the side of that? |
Yea baby 25HP at 46 MPH...... Oh my gosh what a hoot!!!!! I envision the Jersey Boyz are good for some of this action.
|
I'm thinking baby Baracuda props...sliced gator tail for Augie to put on the Barbie.

My name is Daren. I race a Doug Wright, Miccosukee. I had Troy Hannon from Supreme Marine rig a small cat about 10 feet long and I put a 30 mercury on it. It is a fun boat that runs about 35 mph. I am interested in selling it if you are interested in buying. Let me know.

Thanks Daren,
Every bit of information is helpful at this point. Ken |
Give me your contact info and i will send you some pics of it; e mail address, etc.

After a lot of investigation, I've learned the Mouse Boat program was something sponsored by Mercury (Mercury manufactured and sold the boats) and dropped around the time of their break from the LLC.
As the former head the program explained..the decision seemed to come from the corporate infrastructure...not enough interest was shown to warrant continued support. Thanks to everyone for the info and leads....Mouse boats are gone..sold off...and will never be a part of Offshore, or any type of powerboat racing again. I understand and accept the reason, and the discission to scrap the program without prejudice. It just is what it is.... |
Its sad.....It was cool watching the kids race them on Satuday....it gave them a tast of racing at a young age....look at how many young kids there are racing in APBA in the small boats....at the Hall Of Champions in 03 half that were honnored were young boys and girls.....
